Welcome to FBC Henderson

We are excited to have you visiting our website and we look forward to having you and your family as our guests at First Baptist Church. Our mission at First Baptist Church is to speak and live out the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. That means that in all that we do, we look to use our words and our actions to display the transforming power of the gospel. Our times together on Sunday mornings are key to this mission as we gather around the word of God to hear his truth, to live life together and to build one another up.
 
When you visit, expect to find people who will encourage you, strive to know you, and build you up with the truths of the Bible. If you have a question that is not covered on our website, please contact us at website@thefbc.org or call the church office at 903-657-1646.

Worship Times

Sundays at 10:30 am

On Sundays, First Baptist Church gathers for worship at 10:30 am. Before our worship service at 9:15 am, we encourage everyone to attend one of our many Sunday School classes. These classes are small groups that meet consistently for the purpose of discipleship through the equipping of one another in the word of God. There are a variety of options and studies available for everyone of all ages. Our greeters would love to tell you about our classes and then personally show you to the room.

Plan Your Visit

When you arrive at the church, you can park in any of the parking lots surrounding the church building. If you have children, it is best to park on the west side and enter through the children’s building entrance. Our greeters will welcome you at all of our entrances, answer any of your questions, and show you where to go.

All children birth through 6th grade will check-in at our children’s check-in stations in the mall area. Greeters will help register your children, give them a name badge, explain the pick-up process, and take you to the appropriate classroom. Please let us know if your child has any allergies or special requirements during the check-in time.
 
We have classes for all ages during our Sunday school hour as well as two age-appropriate kids churches during the 10:30 am worship service. Our Little Kidz Church is for our 3’s and 4’s and is in the nursery. Our Big Kidz Church is for kindergarten- 4th grade on the second floor of our children’s building. (Our 5th & 6th graders work as helpers if they choose.)
 
All our children’s workers are required to go through a background check and thorough training. We take the safety of your children very seriously.
 
Our youth group meets in the Family Life Center on the second floor for Sunday School each week. They start with a large group time and then divide into grade level classes. Any of our greeters can take you where you need to be.

We have any number of Sunday Schools classes that you will be welcomed to with open arms. You can see a list of those classes HERE.

We truly are a “come as you are” church! On any given Sunday you will find folks in jeans, slacks, dresses, ties, and everything in between! Whatever you wear, you will fit right in! We want to make sure what we wear isn’t the main concern! It’s our heart that God is most concerned with!
